About Stuart Wakefield
Stuart Wakefield is a novelist, playwright and screenwriter whose work explores love, identity, belonging and the complicated ways people find one another.
His books include The Boy From Madrid, All Hands on Dick, Brain Dead Gorgeous, Out in the Cold, Behind the Seams and Body of Water. Body of Water was longlisted for the Polari First Book Prize, while Behind the Seams was a semi-finalist in the BookLife Prize.
Stuart has an MA in Professional Writing and has written for stage, page and screen, including for Channel 4. Alongside his own writing, he works as a book coach, helping fiction and memoir writers develop stronger stories.
He lives in Hertfordshire with his husband and their pets.
